Easy salad meal prep recipes

With summer just around the corner and a mini heatwave in April (hurrah!) most of us are changing up our eating habits and looking for healthier food ideas and suggestions.

It can be really hard to get into healthy eating, especially coming out of the winter months when we constantly crave carbs and comfort foods. Salads are a great way to help you save money if you have the time to meal prep at home and certainly don’t have to be complicated. I like to do this on a Sunday for my Monday / Tuesday lunches and then again on Tuesday evening for Wednesday and Thursday. Friday is treat day, so no meal prep required!

Stuck for ideas? See a couple of my favourite salad combinations below.

Glossier Lash Slick, Review

If I was only allowed to take one item of make-up on a desert island, it would most probably be a mascara. It’s the only product that I feel makes me look wide-eyed and awake, even after a big night out.

I have tried endless mascaras over the years, with the majority only being used a handful of times before they find their way to the bottom of my make-up draw never to be used again (RIP).

So I was very excited to get my hands on the new Glossier Lash Slick, and I’ve waited a few days to properly trial the product to give you my honest opinion!

Bollywood Fusion – dance class review, with Kiran Kishore

Bollywood dancing is now a familiar sight on Western TV and cinema screens, with the moves even being incorporated within popular music video dance routines. My personal favorite that springs to mind is the colourful Jai Ho by the Pussycat Dolls – remember that one? As a dancer myself and having done ballet from the age of 3, I’ve always been interested in trying new … Continue reading Bollywood Fusion – dance class review, with Kiran Kishore

Drake and Morgan – Kings Cross

DRAKE AND mORGAN (9)

Having recently moved into the Kings Cross area, I’ve been exploring London more than ever before! One of my favourite new hang-outs has to be the versatile Drake & Morgan. This is their flagship bar & restaurant and I have found that it’s a perfect central location for after work drinks, birthday celebrations, date nights and as I discovered this weekend, Sunday brunch.

Nail it this winter with All That Jazz

As much as I love winter, skiing, cold, crisp days and big cosy knits – the season does play havoc on my hair and skin. We’ve all experienced ‘bobble hat hair’ and chapped lips from the cold and every girl knows to stock up on moisturiser and to literally lather it everywhere as soon as we step out the shower – but have you ever spared a thought for your poor nails in the winter?

Very Lazy Cooking

Like most of us foodies who work in food PR, I LOVE cooking. Living a busy London lifestyle however now means that by the time that I get home, I often just want to make something quick and easy, but still fresh tasting and nutritious.

Very Lazy’s range of pastes and chopped ingredients are the ultimate in hassle-free cooking and are great for adding flavour and kick to your dishes. Having a few staple ingredients from the range in your fridge make it easy to create tasty dinners in minutes – much more satisfying than reaching for a ready meal in the supermarket or ordering a takeaway.

Bar Douro

Bar Douro, Southwark As far as my idea of dining heaven goes, I don’t think many things could top the list other than small plates served on pretty tiles, paired with a large glass of Portuguese wine. Bar Douro has certainly succeeded in bringing the terra of Portugal to the arches of Southwark, offering simple authentic Portuguese classics served in humble setting, where you really … Continue reading Bar Douro
